The Volunteers 

The Mpora Rural Family Home offers volunteering opportunities for those visiting Uganda who want to offer their skills and time to support local community based projects. Short, medium and long term volunteering opportunities are avail able to suit what ever time you have to give.

Meet The Armstrong Family
Whilst visiting Uganda and sight seeing we also decided that we wanted to offer some help by volunteering. We found the Mpora Rural Family Homestay on the internet and a few emails and phone calls later and we had set up our visit. We intended only staying a week but extended our stay as we had such a fantastic time. We helped out by painting the Library and spent most mornings playing with the children teaching them new games aimed at helping them improve their English, our son teaching them picture bingo and card games such as donkey! Our stay was definately one of the highlights of our trip.
